2010 WBBA Basketball Camp

June 21-July 30, 2010

Conducted by Coach Jerry Nicholson, provides an opportunity for young players to perfect their basketball skills, including individual defensive and offensive moves, shooting, ball handling, sportsmanship, teamwork, offensive sets, and much more.

The purpose of the camp is to prepare campers for their next level of basketball play by helping them to make the necessary adjustments to become more fundamentally sound players. The “drill for skill” philosophy is incorporated into every aspect of camp. Campers will be divided into three age level groups: Under 9, Under 11, Under 13. Beginners, Intermediate and Advanced based on age and ability.

What to wear and bring: basketball shoes, water bottle, sunscreen, athletic attire and money to purchase lunch and beverages. (sliced pizza, water, sports drinks)

Camp runs from 9:00-2:00pm. There will be no supervision before 8:30am or after 2:30pm.*

Program Cost: $150 per week
Limited to 60 players

*An extended day option is available until 5:00pm, for $150.00 per week. See Coach Nicholson to sign up. Minimun sign up is for a full week. This service is only available on a weekly basis and there will not be any daily signups under any circumstance.

We are only conducting private lessons and small group instructions and are no longer fielding any teams

Mission Statement

Winnetka Bullets Basketball Academy has transitioned to a private lesson and instruction club.

Our commitment is to develop basic fundamental skills necessary to play in a high school basketball program.

We will also work with individual players or groups to improve specific game skills.

Basketball Academy Fundamental Skills Clinic

We conduct basketball skills clinic for individuals and groups. The clinics will provide training for beginning players, intermediate players, and advanced players.

The clinics will address individual ball handling, dribbling, passing, shooting, rebounding, and defensive skills.

If you are interested please email Coach Nicholson with your player's age, grade, skill level, school, and a contact telephone number. All training will be conducted in our gym at 7911 Winnetka Av, Winnetka, Ca 91306. jer166@sbcglobal.net

FEES

Private instruction is available to individual and groups. Individual instruction fees are $75.00 per player for a 45 minute session and may include up to three individual players.

Group rates are $65.00 per player for the first three players and $55 per player for each additional player. A special team rate is $350.00 for groups up to 6 players and $40 for each additional player.

Full payment will be required prior to instruction

Instruction will be provided in our gym.

Off site instruction is available and round trip mileage (as computed by map quest) to your practice location at $0.75 per mile will be added to the total.

Full payment will be required prior to travel to an off site location.

Payment methods accepted are PayPal, credit card processed through PayPal, or cash.

About Coach Nicholson

Coach Jerry Nicholson has been coaching basketball for over twenty years in the San Fernando Valley. He has coached every level from 6-7 year olds through high school varsity players in LA Parks and Recreation programs, YMCA programs, Winnetka Bullets Basketball Academy traveling teams, Cleveland High School and Campbell Hall High School.

While at Campbell Hall High School Coach Nicholson was a part of a coaching staff that led the boys basketball team to CIF State championships in 2007 & 2008.

Coach Nicholson is also a certified high school basketball official.
