Zone Defense Rules
We will mirror the offense, we
will show a 1-2-2 set but we can use any
set and the rules stay the same.
We will play this as a pressure
defense putting extreme pressure on the
ball and playing deny position one pass away.
We
want to be in a position to put help on any drive but able to recover
quickly to our man. No direct passes one pass away. Any pass must be
made over the defender to allow time to recover. The concept is to be
able to put 1 1/2-to-2 defenders on the ball at all times.
