strong side start:
both wings start one step above the FT line extended.
when the play is called both wings slide down to the mid lane extended area.
the wing must get the ball at about mid lane extended to force the bottom player to defend him.
this will open up the high low action.
the point declares a side by dribbling hard at the elbow area.
the point draws the defense and passes to the wing.

2

weak side start:
1 dribbles hard at the elbow to make the defense guard him.
3 moves to the mid lane wing area.
if the defense goes 1 might be able to penetrate to the basket.
1 pass to 3 on the wing and moves to the opposite elbow area to occupy the defense.
as the wing catches the ball.
4 posts strong in the mid lane area.
5 waits until after 4 posts and occupies the defense before he cuts behind 4 to the short corner.

3

after the pass the to the short corner the wing backs straight out to a position one step above the FT line extended.

5 looks for the short jump shot
5 first looks to drive
5 looks for 4 and plays hi-low with 4
5 looks for 2 at the backdoor
5 looks for 1 at the opposite elbow
5 reverses to 3

4

if 2 does not get the ball and there is no drive or shot, 2 backs out 2-3 steps.

5 passes to 3

1 will move to the opposite wing as the ball is in the air to 3

5

when 3 gets the ball 2 will move into the middle of the lane, jump stop and call for the ball

2 will then move up the lane to the point to receive the reverse pass

2 is a decoy and we want him to draw the defense with him toward the point

3 will read the defense and if the defense moves away from the basket he will have an easy backdoor lob to 1 as 1 cuts to the basket

6

if the reverse pass to 2 is denied , 3 will dribble across and 2 will screen for 2 and move to the wing

once the ball is at the point we will run the reversal

7

2 dribbles hard atthe elbow to make the defense guard him.
1 pops out to the mid lane wing area.
if the defense goes out 2 might be able to penetrate to the basket.

as 1 catches the ball the short corner player 5 will flash to the mid post.
after 5 is posted 4 flashes under 5 to the short corner.

9

3 scores.
if 3 is guarded he backs the ball out to the wing and we will run the play as if the ball had been passed to the wing.
